THE EFFECT OF LEARNING INTEREST, LEARNING MOTIVATION AND FAMILY ENVIRONMENT ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF BASIC ACCOUNTING SUBJECTS (A Study on Students of State Vocational High School 48 Jakarta)

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of learning interest, learning motivation, and family environment on students' learning outcomes in Basic Accounting at State Vocational High School 48 Jakarta. The study involved a population of 143 students enrolled in the Accounting Program, from which 105 respondents were selected using proportional random sampling. A quantitative research approach with a survey method was employed, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, normality test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test), and coefficient of determination analysis. The findings indicate that: (1) learning interest has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes; (2) learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes; (3) family environment has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes; and (4) learning interest, learning motivation, and family environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes. These findings suggest that improving students' learning outcomes requires not only strengthening internal factors, such as learning interest and learning motivation, but also fostering a supportive family environment that facilitates effective learning.
