Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed students' financial behavior, particularly through the increasing use of non-cash transactions or the adoption of a cashless society. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and cashless society on the financial behavior of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with a sample of 100 students selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on students' financial behavior. Lifestyle also significantly influences financial behavior, where a more consumptive lifestyle tends to worsen financial management. Meanwhile, the cashless society provides convenience in transactions but may encourage consumptive behavior if not balanced with adequate financial literacy. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening financial education to promote healthier financial behavior among students.
