THE INFLUENCE OF ECONOMIC LITERACY, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND DIGITAL PAYMENTS ON STUDENTS' CONSUMPTIVE BEHAVIOR (CASE STUDY OF STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS (FEB) CLASS 2021, STATE UNIVERSITY OF JAKARTA)

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic literacy, social media, and digital payments on students’ consumptive behavior partially. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The sample in this study amounted to 279 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) class of 2021, State University of Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling technique. The results of the analysis show that: (1) Economic Literacy has a significant effect on the Consumptive Behavior of FEB UNJ Students class of 2021. (2) Social Media has a significant effect on the Consumptive Behavior of FEB UNJ Students in the Class of 2021. (3) Digital Payments has a significant effect on the Consumptive Behavior of FEB UNJ Students class of 2021. These findings emphasize the importance of increasing economic literacy among students to form wiser consumption behavior, as well as the need for awareness in using digital technology to avoid being trapped in consumptive behavior.
